I finally made it over to Blanc Burgers and Bottles recently. If you're a regular reader of the site, you need to get out more, but you also may recall that I had visited Blanc previously. I was out on the prowl for a cheap dinner and when I saw the $10 burgers on their menu, I promptly headed out the door. This time, I was prepared for the high prices since I had recently taken out a trailer equity loan.
The first thing that I noticed was that their menu has recently been expanded. Previously, it was a single sheet of paper with small type on both sides. They have a lot to fit in because they have about a zillion bottles of beer. This time, it was a folding, laminated thing like a real restaurant may have. It still looked typewritten, though, and contained a ton of bottles of beer, soda, and wine along with their selection of high dollar burgers. The table got a collection of beers and sodas that all went down well except for an odd raspberry lemonade.
I got one of their "Au Poivre" burgers and split a shopping cart full of fries. It was delicious, and I was stuffed. I'm not sure if it was worth the price, but I'm glad I went. Plenty of other people seem to dig the place, since it was packed on a weeknight.
I noticed on the menu that they have a lunch-time deal, so that may be a good way to get a burger and some fries without having to cash out your 401(k).
