- Christmas is coming. That means the Plaza Lights are on.
- The Kansas City Ballet performs The Nutcracker almost every day in December.
- Holiday Cab at (816) 777-1115 will pick up up from a bar and take you home. It's free for the first $25 of the ride, which will get you a long way around Kansas City. In 2008, it appears to only be operating on New Year's Eve.

- Olathe has Christmas Card Lane which is a neighborhood that really gets into the spirit of the season with large cards and other displays on their houses and in their lawns.

Home Maintenance
- If you feel cold air blowing through cracks around your windows or doors that you don't intend to use this winter, you might try some Dap Seal-N-Peel sealant. It's like removable caulking that will keep out some of those cold drafts. Just peel it away in the spring!
