I've been living in Kansas City for over 30 years and have decided to start putting some of my Kansas City knowledge up on the web for us all to enjoy. I'm looking forward to sharing my knowledge of things like events and restaurants with you as well as some of my hopefully humorous episodes. I'm just getting started, so there are a lot of rough edges. I hope that you'll bear with me while I get set up.

This is also a bit of an experiment in using a wiki, like MediaWiki, as a content management system to create a website sort of like a blog. I'll have daily information and regular updates, and let the wiki software update the Main Page with the daily stuff. This means that you'll see some remnants of the wiki software around. I'm working to get rid of those a little bit every day. I'm hopeful that it will look less and less like wikipedia as I go along. It also means that you can look ahead and see what's coming up in the future. As I'm working on the daily stories for days in the future, you'll be able to see them develop on the pages for each day. I think of that as a feature, not a problem.
