Houston's on the Plaza reportedly has some of the best ribs anywhere around. I wouldn't know. I seldom stray from their French Dip. It's big enough for two and comes with a mountain of skinny, crispy fries. There's no reason to order anything else.

On some evenings, it can get busy, but you can often luck out and grab a table in the bar. They're booths, not high-tops, so it doesn't really feel like you're eating in the bar. In fact, that's where I prefer to eat when I'm there.
