It's July in Kansas City. For the most part, that means that we get to listen to the neighborhood kids lighting off fireworks all month. There's no better way to celebrate our Independence from King George's thugs than with a reenactment between the neighborhood rebels and the uniformed officers.

If civil disobedience is not your fancy, there are numerous Fireworks Shows around town this weekend. A few have been canceled due to budget shortcomings, but there are many still going strong. I guess the Corporate Woods show and surrounding activities have been getting bigger and better each year, so perhaps this is the year to check that one out.

Also this month is the KC Fringe Festival. It's always full of entertaining folks and their activities.

Enjoy the coolish spell we're having. I have a feeling it won't last long and we'll be in the 100's before July is over.
