I usually don't troll the Pitch's event list since there are so many events I get overwhelmed. Here's one, though, that caught my eye. The Backpack BBQ is an effort to collect donated backpacks. If you bring one in, you get free BBQ. It runs this afternoon in Raytown and looks like one of the first of the fall fundraisers for back-to-school time.
