Home Maintenance
- Some weekends in July are simply too hot to venture outdoors. I like to use one of them for some tasks around the cool basement. For instance, once a year you should drain a few gallons of water out of your water heater. This cuts down on the amount of "scale" that can build up in there. Scale buildup can make your water heater less efficient. It can also eventually lead to your water heater "popping".
