From TheKCGuy
I was recently pointed to a great book about Kansas City dining and shopping. eat.shop kansas city is "The Indispensable Guide to Inspired, Locally Owned Eating and Shopping Establishments." It features a bunch of locally owned restaurants and locally owned places to shop. The photos in it are fantastic, and I have learned of a few new spots to try, and was reminded of a few that I haven't visited recently enough. I expect I'll leave it in my car so that I can more easily deal with those emergency times when we can't think of any place to eat. You can grab it at Barnes and Noble, but I suspect that Rainy Day has it, too.
