McFadden's Sports Saloon

McFadden's is the coming sports bar right across the street from the Sprint Center in the Power and Light District. I stopped in there on opening night to check it out. It was a great looking place, with all of the character you can expect out of a new place, and plenty of room.
I'm guessing it was due to opening night, but it was really crowded and loud. I can certainly overlook that since everyone and their Garth Brooks fan friends were down there. But, I've heard from just about everyone else who has been down there since then that the music is intolerably loud and the place is still incredibly crowded, even in off-peak times. They served my buddy a Dewer's and water in a plastic cup. I'm not sure that's an acceptable vessel for that drink, but I can still write that off as opening night problems. If they keep that up, though, I'm not sure how much of the premium booze they'll sell down there. Perhaps when they get their act together a bit more as time goes on, and as more venues open up in down there, they'll learn how to run a great bar.
