Speed Traps

Although I usually drive more slowly than most folks twice my age, I find myself reflexively hitting the brakes as I pass certain spots around town. I thought I'd put together a growing list of the places that the cops like to hang out and run radar.

• Southbound State Line right by Rockhurst high school at about 85th, especially during morning rush hour
• Norhtbound Ward Parkway at 51st. Watch out here, you're headed down a huge hill just before this spot. Sometimes they're on the right at the light, and sometimes they're on the left over by the tennis courts.
• Southbound Southwest Trafficway at Valentine or just before 39th street.
